It is sad to see how music has been transformed since the early 2000's, solely for commercial purposes and manipulation of the masses. Where not only the rhythms have changed, but also the lyrics and stories told in the "songs".
If you have the minimum knowledge about Storytelling and how our brain works, you should know the great power of telling stories to connect with it, program your mind through the repetition of words or phrases, coupled with brain synchronization by dragging that is created through the beat or rhythm and the emotion that you involve.
All this influences your mind and your behavior, he who says otherwise simply does not know how our brain works in conjunction with auditory stimuli and repetition of words or phrases that act as a "sutra", or as a hypnotic audio suggestion that goes straight to the subconscious and there remains for decades.

To the boys they sell the archetype of a drug addict, drug offender and gang member, who only talks about drugs, weapons, promiscuity, etc. And the girls are sold the aspiration of being a digital pr0stitut@ or what is only good for fornicating.
Do you really want that for your children, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or friends?
Remember that trends originate in musical movements and with the "artists" that are sold as symbols for that generation.
