The National Police has dismantled in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Madrid a network that was allegedly dedicated to taking children and adolescents who arrived in the Canary Islands by boat from reception centers to transfer them irregularly to France. The investigation has resulted, for the moment, with eleven arrests and the open search for several missing young people under protection guardianship.
Agents have arrested nine suspects in Lanzarote, one in Madrid and another in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Four of them have already been placed in pre-trial detention as alleged members of a criminal organisation to which crimes of document forgery, infringements against family rights and duties, concealment and child pornography are attributed. The rest remain under investigation pending the evolution of the judicial proceedings.^^

^^Cae una red que ocultaba a menores migrantes en Canarias para enviarlos clandestinamente a Francia

La Policía Nacional ha desmantelado en Lanzarote, Gran Canaria y Madrid una red que presuntamente se dedicaba a sacar de centros de acogida a niños y adolescentes llegados en patera a Canarias para trasladarlos de manera irregular a Francia. La investigación se salda, por el momento, con once detenidos y la búsqueda abierta de varios jóvenes desaparecidos bajo tutela de protección.
Los agentes han arrestado a nueve sospechosos en Lanzarote, uno en Madrid y otro en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Cuatro de ellos ya han ingresado en prisión provisional como presuntos integrantes de una organización criminal a la que se atribuyen delitos de falsedad documental, infracciones contra los derechos y deberes familiares, encubrimiento y pornografía infantil. El resto permanece investigado a la espera de la evolución de las diligencias judiciales.^^
