MORNING PRAYERS [From a prayer book of 1949, remember that when one stops praying, calamities come, if you started: don't stop. I began to pray them some time before I made my first Communion (because I was given the booklet, but we have to start praying when we can speak) and my family was doing well, I stopped praying them when I was 15 years old because of a change of schedule at school and two years later my family and I had calamities one after another.

From the Holy priest of of Ars we know that we should begin with the two consecrations (to the Sacred Heart and to the Immaculate Heart before speaking to anyone, because if not, we convert ourselves in killers of those souls, and from the Messages of Our Lady of the Roses we know that we should say: "I consecrate this day entirely to please the Lord, I will protect myself with the shield of the Immaculate Conception" so we will be led in the Light, St. Therese the little flower says.].

MORNING PRAYERS

In the name of the Father who created me in His image and keeps me for His glory, of the Son who redeemed me with His precious Blood and of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies me with His grace, I will begin this day, which I consecrate to His divine service. (Pray a Our Father, Hail Mary, Creed and Hail Holy Queen)

 --

 Act of Adoration

I adore You, my God, I love You with all my heart, I thank You that You have created me, redeemed me, made me a Christian and preserved me until now. I offer You all my actions, words and thoughts, I ask You to grant me the grace to do nothing that is opposed to the salvation of my soul. Amen.

--

Consecration to the Heart of Jesus

O my Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary Most Holy, I offer You the prayers, works and labors of the present day to make reparation for the offenses done to You and for the other intentions of Your Sacred Heart.

--

 Consecration to the Blessed Virgin

O my Lady and Mother, I offer all of myself to You; and in proof of my filial affection, I consecrate to you in this day my eyes, my ears, my tongue, my heart and my whole being. Since I am all Yours, O Mother of kindness, keep and defend me like a thing and possession of Yours. Amen. Pray a Hail Mary (300 days of indulgence once a day. Pius IX).

--

 Prayer to the Guardian Angel

Angel of God, who art my custodian since sovereign mercy has entrusted me to you, enlighten me, guard me, defend me and govern me. Amen. (300 days of indulgence each time and plenary once a month, with the usual conditions, praying it every day of the month. Pius VII).

--

Prayer to St. Joseph

O Father and guardian of virgins, glorious St. Joseph, You to whom were entrusted: Jesus, the innocence itself and Mary, the Virgin of virgins, I ask and beseech you to deign to free me from all sin and to preserve the chastity of my soul and body, so that being your imitator on earth, I may merit to enjoy God in your company in the glory. Amen.

 --

Prayer to St. Aloysius Gonzaga

O holy Aloysius adorned with angelic virtues! I, your unworthy devotee, commend to you the chastity of my soul and body. Do not allow me to stain my soul with any sin of impurity; but when you see me in the temptation or danger of sinning, remove from my heart all evil thoughts and affections; awaken in me the memory of eternity and of Jesus crucified; imprint in my heart a deep feeling of holy fear of God, so that being your imitator on earth, I may deserve to enjoy God in your company in Heaven. Amen.

--

To the Saint of our name

O glorious Saint of mine, whose name I have the honor of carring it, protect me and pray for me, that I may serve God as you did on earth and then enjoy Him in the glory. Amen.

--

Prayer of the son for his parents

O good Jesus, who, as a child in Nazareth, gave me most beautiful examples of filial piety, loving your parents, obeying and respecting them as representatives of God, grant that I, following your admirable examples, may love my parents, respect them, obey them, and be, as you were, their consolation and their joy. Return, my Jesus, with the riches of your graces, the much that I owe them; give them, above all, your love, so that loving you, fathers and children, we may all one day be united forever in heaven. Amen.

--

Prayer for the living and the decesased

Pour out, O Lord, your blessing on my parents, brothers, relatives, superiors and teachers, companions and friends, enemies and benefactors. Protect all in spiritual and temporal matters. Help all the poor, the afflicted, the prisoners, travelers, the sick and the dying. Convert heretics and sinners, and enlighten the understanding of the infidels, that they may know, love and serve you. God of kindness and mercy, have mercy also on the souls in purgatory; put an end to their sufferings and grant to those for whom I am obliged to pray, rest and eternal light. So be it.

--

ACTS OF FAITH, HOPE AND CHARITY
ACT OF FAITH. My God, I firmly believe all what You have revealed to the Holy Catholic, Apostolic, Roman Church, because You are infallible Truth that cannot deceive Yourself neither deceive us.

ACT OF HOPE. My God, I hope with all confidence that You will give me, on the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ, Your grace in this world; and if I obey Your Holy Law, the glory in the other, because You have promised that.

ACT OF CHARITY. I love You, my God, with all my heart and with all my strength, for You are infinitely good and infinitely worthy of being loved. I love my neighbor, as I love myself, because of Your love.
(There are 7 years of indulgence granted for each time acts of faith, hope and charity are recited, with precedent or similar formulas).

NIGHT PRAYERS

 --

Kneeling before an image or a Crucifix, after making the sign of the cross, say:

My God and Lord, in Whom I believe and hope, whom I adore and love with all my heart; I thank You for having created me, redeemed me, made me a Christian and preserved me until the present hour; give me grace to know my sins and to repent of them.

--

 Daily examination of conscience

Here you will think about what you have failed to do during the day in thought, word and deed. Knowing the faults, you will repent of them, saying with all fervor the Act of Contrition.

--

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most Sweet Heart of Jesus, I commend my heart and my body to You tonight, that they may rest sweetly in You. But since, while I sleep, I cannot praise You, supply Yourself so that as often as my heart palpitates, it may give as many thanksgivings and burning affections of love for You. Into your hands, Lord, I commend my spirit, begging You to grant me the grace to see the light again, to serve and love You, to live and die in Your holy grace, and to rejoice in Your glory for all eternity. Amen.

--

 Invocation to the Blessed Virgin

O my sweet Mother, keep watch at my bedside this night, keep the enemy away from me, defend me from all evil, cover me with Your mantle and give me Your motherly blessing.

--

Holy Angel of my guardian, watch over me.

Saint of my name, defend me

Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, pray for me.

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, through the mercy of God. Amen

--

Jesus, Joseph and Mary, I give you my heart and soul.

Jesus, Joseph and Mary, do assist me in my last agony.

Jesus, Joseph and Mary, may I die in peace in your company.

(Indulgence of 7 years for each invocation and each time it is recited)

--

Thoughts for before going to sleep

I must die, but I do not know when; I must die, but I do not know where; I must die, but I do not know how. What I know for certain is - that if I die in mortal sin, - I condemn myself forever.

--

Lord, into your hands I commend my spirit.

From the messages of Our Lady of the Roses we know that before going to bed we must say, "I protect myself with the shield of the Immaculate Conception." - And before closing the eyes : "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray to God my soul to keep, if I should die before I wake, I pray to God my soul to take."
