The malice of mortal sin

Mortal sin is a grave offense against God of infinite majesty; therefore, it is an infinite injury.
The man who commits mortal sin rebels against God: if not with words, with his works he says: I do not want to serve God, I do not want to do what He commands.
Man, if compared to God, is infinitely less than a worm compared to the whole universe.
Does such a vile being dare to rebel against God? Why? Because of a base passion that he does not want to dominate, and, many times, for things of no value.
Everyone who commits mortal sin loves himself and creatures more than God, for he grievously displeases God, in order to please himself or others.
To sin! to offend God in His very presence! It is the height of audacity! At least, in order to sin, look for a place where God is not, but such a place does not exist!
Whoever commits a mortal sin is the most ungrateful being. All that man has, God has given him and preserved for him, and yet the sinner uses it to offend Him. He who commits mortal sin becomes the slave of passions and appetites contrary to reason.
Mortal sin is the greatest of all the evils of this life, for these are ordained by God for the medicine of sin; no wise physician does a greater evil to cure a lesser one.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, in order to free us from sins, accepted the evils of sorrow and very great evils, but not the evil of guilt.
Mortal sin was the cause of Jesus' suffering the most cruel torments in His most holy passion.
A single mortal sin changed the most beautiful angels into the most ugly demons.
A single mortal sin, that of Adam, changed the world from a paradise of delights and joys into a valley of tears and sorrows.

Consequences of mortal sin:
1st It separates us from God and deprives us of His love and friendship.
2nd.  It takes away our merits and our right to glory.
3rd It makes us worthy of eternal damnation.
--
Never sin!
Only sin is the true evil, for the others can bring us great goods, because they help us to obtain greater rewards in heaven.
Sin alone, if it is grave, separates us from God, our highest good; and if it is light, it delays our entrance into heaven and deprives us of many graces.
Let us therefore avoid all sin, whatever the cost. Let us often say: let us rather die than sin.
If for every time man committed a sin he had to pay a great fine or receive a great corporal punishment, is it not true that everyone would be extremely careful not to commit sin?
[The answer is yes. But that method is not used by God because He does not want us to serve Him under compulsion but out of love. That great fine or punishment we should apply to ourselves in the form of penance in order to, 1- reduce the time we will have to be in purgatory, 2- accustom our mind, heart and body to not commit any more sins]
All the more reason why we should abstain from sin so as not to offend God, so as not to lose heaven, so as not to deserve temporal and eternal punishments.

Means to avoid sin
1º In temptations, turn to God and to the Blessed Virgin with fervent short prayers, thinking that God is present in every place.
2º Read a good book and meditate for a few minutes each day.
[Our Lady of the Roses commands us to meditate on God the Father for an hour each day. Even if nothing comes to our mind for an hour, I tell you that God works wonders if we obediently give Him that hour].
3º Remember often death, judgment, hell and glory.
4º Every night, when going to bed, make an examination of conscience, and ask God for forgiveness for the faults committed during the day.
5º To frequent the Holy Sacraments.

[After posting the last point, a few days later I added something very important to the second comment I made. It is complete on the blog].
