And it was fulfilled to the letter.Don Bosco worked more than eight hundred miracles during his lifetime by praying with faith to Mary Help of Christians, and with her help he carried out portentous works with economic and human means that did not represent any probability of success. 3. Sueño de la Divina Pastora 1831 .--
Tuve un hermoso sueño: vi acercarse a una gran Señora que guiaba un numerosísimo rebaño, y dirigiéndose hacia mí y llamándome por mi nombre, me dijo: – “Mira Juanito, todo este rebaño te lo entrego a tus cuidados” Yo le dije: – “¿Y cómo me las arreglaré para cuidar de tantas ovejas y de tantos corderitos?” La Señora me respondió: – “No tengas miedo, yo estaré contigo”, y desapareció.

¿Qué te pasa Bosco que estás como muy preocupado?, le dijo un amigo llamado José Turco. – Mira es que deseo estudiar y llegar a ser sacerdote, pero no veo cómo lograrlo porque mi mamá es sumamente pobre y no tengo quién me ayude para entrar en el seminario. Ni siquiera tengo dinero para los libros. No sé cómo llegaré a lo que más deseo, que es ser sacerdote.

Pero un día la familia Turco vio que el joven Bosco estaba alegrísimo, como quien ha recibido la más bella noticia.

– ¿Qué pasa Juanito, que estás tan contento en este día? Le preguntó el Padre de la familia Turco.---
– Ah, es que he recibido una agradabilísima noticia. En un sueño la Santísima Virgen me prometió darme toda la ayuda necesaria para que yo logre llegar a ser sacerdote y educador. Y les contó su sueño, tal como lo acabamos de transcribir.---
En adelante nadie vio preocupado al joven Bosco. Aunque la pobreza lo acorralaba, aunque los desprecios lo herían y a veces parecía que todo le faltaba (la pobreza lo acompañó hasta la muerte) nunca nadie lo vio triste o preocupado. El recordaba la frase de Nuestra Señora en su segundo sueño: “Yo estaré a tu lado y te ayudaré”. Y se cumplió a la letra.

Más de ochocientos milagros hizo en vida Don Bosco al rezar con fe a María Auxiliadora, y con su ayuda llevó a cabo obras portentosas con medios económicos y humanos que no representaban ninguna probabilidad de triunfo. El repetía siempre: “Si tenéis fe en María Auxiliadora veréis lo que son los milagros”. [nota: recuerdo que la frase era: haced bien a los niños pobres y los enfermos, adorad a Jesús en la Eucaristía, creed en María Auxiliadora y veréis lo que son los milagros]
