58. A visit to the dormitories, 1866
On March 4, 1866, Don Bosco told his students: "I dreamed that while I was in my bed, a mysterious personage appeared and said to me: Don Bosco, get up immediately and come with me.
I got up, dressed and went after that personage who did not allow me to see his face even for a moment. He made me go through several dormitories where many young people were resting. As I passed in front of some beds, I realized that some huge cats were trying to destroy the faces of those young people.
Then the personage stopped in front of the bed of a student who was deeply asleep and said to me: - For the feast of St. Joseph, on March 19, this young man will have to pass into eternity.
The character disappeared and I woke up.
The cats that were trying to destroy the faces of some young people represent the enemies of our soul that are always around us to make us fall into sin and to torment us if we die in grave sin, and if God finally gets tired of putting up with the offenses that we do to Him.
I believe that by March 19, the feast of St. Joseph, one of us will have passed into eternity. We must all strive to be very well prepared because at the least expected hour, death will come and we will have to present ourselves to the judgment of God to give an account to Our Lord of what we have done, the good and the bad.
Note: The chronicle of the Oratory says: "On March 19, 1866, the young Simon Lupotto, a pupil of Don Bosco, died. A few days before he had gone to his house because he felt sick. He was a model of piety and of good fulfillment of his duty. He was in love with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and received the sacraments of confession and communion with great fervor. He attended Mass very fervently and prayed the Holy Rosary with great piety. He looked like a St. Louis and endured his last illness with great patience. On March 19, the feast of St. Joseph, to whom he was very devoted, he went to Heaven with a holy death".

59. The dream of the kids 1866
--
"I dreamed that I was in the confessional surrounded by many young people who were going to confession with me. Suddenly a little goat came through the door of the sacristy and began to play with the young people and to lead them away from the confessional, so that many who had thought of going to confession desisted from confession and left the Church. The kid had the audacity to come up to me and try to keep those who were already very close to the confessional from going to confession.
I gave him a strong punch, broke his horn and made him run away.
Then I dreamed that I was dressing to celebrate Holy Mass and that at the beginning of the Holy Sacrifice a multitude of goats entered the Church, and that at the moment of Communion the goats went from pew to pew distracting the students so that they would not go to Communion. And they succeeded in preventing many from receiving communion.
These kids are the enemies of the soul who, with distractions and disordered affections, keep people away from confession and communion".
