60. The swords and the numbers,1866
--
I dreamed that I passed in front of the beds of sleeping pupils and that above each pupil I saw a sword hanging (death) and at the head of each was a number indicating the years he will live on earth.
Many young people came to ask him what he had seen at his bedside. To one he said, "When you turn 60, get ready to leave for the next world". And so it happened; he died 45 years later, when he had just turned 60.
The young Tomatis asked him if he still had a long time to live and Don Bosco answered him: "I could tell you the exact length of time you have left to live, but it is not convenient for you. Don't worry; you will live long years and you will be a priest of Don Bosco and you will spend a lot of time saving souls.
The young man was in his first year of high school. After many doubts and dangers he became a priest of the community founded by Don Bosco. As a missionary in America he was several times in grave danger of death, swept away by the currents of the rivers, and he was miraculously freed from these dangers. For 37 years he was a missionary priest in America.

61. Rules and Regulations 1867 (MB. 8,484).
In 1867 Don Bosco went to Rome to ask for the pontifical approval of the Salesian Congregation. He took with him the Rules, Constitutions or Regulations that had been inspired in his dreams. He did not separate himself from the copy of the Holy Rules that he had written according to the norms that had been suggested to him by Heaven in his dreams (Father Lemoyne).
