144. A strange young man, 1886
On the night of January 23, 1886, Don Bosco woke up his secretary, who was sleeping in the next room, with his dreamy screams. The next day Father Viglietti asked him why he was screaming and the Saint answered: “It is because in my dreams I saw a deformed, strange and disgusting young man who was walking around my room. I tried in every way I could to get him to move away and leave, but he did not want to let himself be expelled from there. Then, as he did not want to leave, I told him: - Look, if you do not leave, I will be forced to pronounce a bad sounding word that I have never said in my life.
And as he did not accept to leave the room, I shouted a very bad sounding word (carroña, disgusting!) and at that moment....
I woke up.
And the Saint concluded this story by blushing and adding: - I have never said such a word to anyone in my life. And now I have to say it in my sleep? And he smiled.
Note: Never did anyone hear from Don Bosco's lips a not dignified or offensive word. His speech was always kind and supremely respectful of everyone. Perhaps what St. Augustine says is fulfilled here: “When the devil does not obtain certain performances, when we are awake, he tries to obtain them when we are asleep”.

145. Two priests in the cathedral,1886
On February 25, 1886, Don Bosco told his friends: I dreamed that I entered the cathedral of Turin and that I saw two priests who were not behaving very respectfully in the House of God. One of them had his hat on and I dared to say to him: - Excuse me, but if you do not have enough respect for the Holy place, and you are not afraid to scandalize and give a bad example to others, at least have respect and consideration for yourself. Take off your hat.
The priest replied: - You are right! And he took off his hat.
I smiled very happy and... I woke up.
Note: Perhaps what was most interesting in this dream was the message that if one is not afraid to disrespect the place where one is and is not afraid to give bad example and scandalize, at least one should avoid certain behaviors for the respect and consideration that each one owes to himself.
